371 Fake CeCe Rose Accounts in One Sweep: How Fans Get Catfished, and How to Stay With the Real Girl
OnlyFans star CeCe Rose calls herself "the most catfished woman on the internet." According to the New York Post (October 17, 2026), her team recently found 371 fake accounts pretending to be her, all built to get money out of her fans.
It's a wild number. And if you follow creators you love, it's worth two minutes of your time.
What happened
- Rose is 27, lives in Toronto and has more than 2.2 million Instagram followers. She says she pays security teams whose whole job is taking down accounts that use her face.
- The fakes copy her photos and videos, then pull fans off Instagram and TikTok onto messaging apps like Telegram, Zangi and WhatsApp.
- There, they build a fake relationship. Some fans truly believed they were dating "her" and planning to meet one day.
- One fan told her he lost $80,000. "He drained his bank account trying to support 'my ambitions'," she told the Post.
- Her team has tracked down at least one suspect, and the case is still under investigation.
The Post also cites the Federal Trade Commission: Americans lost $3.5 billion to imposter scams in 2025.
Her message to fans
Rose kept it simple: "I won't message you asking for money. That's the most important thing: I will never come to you begging for anything."
She also says victims shouldn't feel ashamed. Most of the fans she has heard from are older, and she worries AI will make the fakes even more convincing.
How to make sure you're with the real girl
The flirting, the teasing, the private sets: all of that is part of the fun. The trick is keeping it where the real creator actually is.
- Start from her official link. Her verified profile, her own link page, or a directory that only lists official pages, like our creator pages.
- Pay inside the platform, nowhere else. Subscriptions, tips and private media all have a checkout. Gift cards, crypto or a bank transfer to a DM is a red flag.
- Be wary of the "new account" move. A profile that drags you to Telegram or WhatsApp and then brings up money is the exact pattern Rose describes.
- If the story feels like a movie, step back. Emergencies, big dreams to fund, a meeting that keeps getting pushed: that's a script, not a romance.
- Report it, no shame. Flag the fake account on the app where you found it. The real creator wants to know.
Real girls, official pages, zero middlemen
On Uncove, every creator is verified and you pay on the platform, not to a stranger in your messages. A few favorites fans keep coming back to:
Into bigger names? Subs, the platform co-founded by OnlyFans co-founder Tim Stokely, is where Megan Fox opened her official page this month.
