Fanvue Spells Out What Referral Commission Pays On (and for How Long)

Fanvue published a rewrite of its Creator Referral & Affiliate Program in its legal changelog on September 19, 2026. The goal: make it clear which revenue earns a referral commission and for how long.

What changed

According to Fanvue's changelog:

• Qualifying revenue is now defined: tips, paid messages and pay-per-view unlocks, paid posts and content unlocks (including Media Links), profile subscriptions and renewals, and Fanvue App Store purchases.
• What doesn't count: Fanvue Checkout sales, promotional credits and giveaways, and zero-value transactions like free trials or fully discounted purchases.
• Attribution window: 36 months for creators who registered before April 9, 2026, and 12 months for creators who registered on or after that date.
• The referral link or code must be applied at registration.
• No commission accrues while the referrer's account is suspended, banned or closed.
• The commission rate and cap are unchanged.

A day earlier, on September 18, banking platform MAKE announced a partnership with Fanvue for instant payouts and automated payment splits for creators, according to StreamingMeme.

What it means for you

If you refer other creators to Fanvue, check when they registered: the attribution window is now much shorter for new sign-ups. Comparing platforms? Read our Uncove review and ask the help group.
