OnlyFans Tells Creators: Your Account Is Yours, Not Your Agency's

Between late September and October 5, 2026, OnlyFans added a new block of questions to the Community Guidelines section of its help center. It's about one thing: who controls a creator's account and earnings when an agency or manager is involved.

What OnlyFans now says

As quoted by OFM News and OnlyChatAI:

• "OnlyFans does not work with or endorse any agencies, managers or third parties."
• Creators are told to seek independent professional advice before signing any contract with a third party.
• "Our relationship is with you and not with any third-party." The creator stays legally responsible for everything posted on the account.
• If someone pressures you to hand over your account or earnings, you can report it. OnlyFans says it will work with you to verify ownership and restore access, that you don't need any third party's permission to contact them, and that reporting does not automatically suspend your account or withhold your earnings.

The new text does not ban agencies, and it doesn't mention chatters or AI tools.

Why it matters

The update follows a BBC investigation into abusive "OFM" managers taking up to 70% of creators' earnings, and Law360 reported on October 7 that a group claim is being prepared in England over exploitative third-party arrangements.

What to do

• Keep your own login and 2FA. Never hand over your password or payout details.
• Read any agency contract carefully, and get advice before you sign.
• Know you can report. Fear of losing your account is no longer a reason to stay silent.
