Fanvue Now Spells Out Its Face Scan for Fans: What Gets Checked, Who Sees It, and How Long It Is Kept
If you follow girls on Fanvue, you may meet a new screen before you get in: a quick selfie check to prove you are an adult.
On October 27, 2026, Fanvue rewrote the rules that explain how that check works. Here is what changed, read straight from Fanvue's official changelog, and what it means for you as a fan.
What Fanvue changed
Fanvue updated five documents at once. The one that matters most for fans is the Age Verification Policy.
It now describes a selfie or face scan check for viewers. If the scan does not pass, a document check follows.
The policy also covers the consent step, the role of the verification provider and clear retention periods.
Who sees your face
Fanvue names its provider: Ondato. Ondato handles the verification data on Fanvue's behalf.
Section 9 of the Privacy Policy was rewritten to explain what is collected, what Fanvue itself receives, and how long each type of data is kept.
How long it is kept
This is the part fans will like. Fanvue says viewer face scans and all face-matching data are deleted once the check is complete.
Fanvue also says it asks for your explicit consent before any face scan. No silent scanning.
What it means for creators you follow
Creators get checked too. The Content Moderation policy now mentions face matching during creator verification.
For you, that is a small extra guarantee that the girl behind the page is the verified person, not someone using her photos.
Our fan checklist
- Only scan inside the official flow. Start from fanvue.com or the app. Never send a selfie or an ID photo to someone in a DM who says it is "for verification".
- Use your own ID. Fanvue's General Terms now say any document you provide must be your own, genuine and valid.
- Read the consent screen. Fanvue says it asks before any face scan, so you should always see that step first.
- Good light, no filters. A failed scan sends you to the document check, which takes longer.
- Check the retention periods. They are listed in Section 9 of Fanvue's Privacy Policy if you want the details.
