OnlyFans Is Changing Its Terms on November 1: What Creators Should Check

By Girls Lounge · · 1 min read

OnlyFans creators received an email on October 1, 2026 announcing updated Terms of Service that take effect on November 1, 2026. Some creators are already being asked to accept the new terms when they log in.

What has been reported

According to reporting by the Riverfront Times (October 6, 2026):

  • Lower bar for suspensions. The August 2024 terms referred to a creator who had "seriously or repeatedly" breached the rules. The new wording reportedly moves to "have or may have breached," which would let the platform suspend an account and hold earnings on a lower threshold.
  • Currency conversion fees. Payouts that require a currency conversion now reportedly include conversion fees, on top of anything your own bank may charge.
  • Affiliate links count as advertising. Affiliate links would need an ad label, the brand name and who paid.
  • Bank details vs ID. The platform can reportedly check that your bank details match your ID verification.

The same report links the update to OnlyFans' broader corporate moves this year, including a minority stake sale and IPO speculation.

What to do now

  1. Read the new terms yourself before clicking "accept." Reports are a summary, not legal advice.
  2. Back up your content and your fan list outside the platform where the rules allow it.
  3. Label your affiliate and promo links clearly.
  4. Check your payout currency and compare fees with your bank.
  5. Don't put all your income on one platform. Uncove, Fansly, Fanvue or MYM Fans can be a backup.
